Starting Salary: £45,441 progressing to £50,512 pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent/ we are also open to 12 months Secondment

We have openings for Advanced Practitioners to join the Diverse and Inclusive Adult Safeguarding team. Our vision is to deliver services to the People of Hertfordshire, so that they feel well informed about what’s available to them in later life so they can lead safe, happy, and healthier lives in a way they choose.
Our Advanced Practitioner roles are vital in in leading Safeguarding Practice and Partnership working to support our vision.
As a result of internal moves and promotions our dynamic team are looking for an Advanced Practitioners to join us. You will lead the work of a professional and committed specialist Adult Safeguarding team, to fulfil Hertfordshire County Council’s Adult Safeguarding responsibilities. Working in line with Section 42 of the Care Act and working within Hertfordshire safeguarding frameworks you will motivate, guide and support whilst undertaking your own caseloads as part of the service.
Our goal is to ensure the principles of “Making Safeguarding Personal” are intrinsic to the operations of the team and the residents of Hertfordshire.
This worthwhile and fulfilling role will enable you to use your skills and expertise by:-
- Mentor, develop, coach and direct staff, including recruitment and the delivery of induction programmes and training.
Lead, chair and managing operational meetings.
- Contribute to learning and leading local peer group meetings
- Acts as the lead professional in Safeguarding Enquiries for your team and the wider Safeguarding team
- Works collaboratively in partnership with internal and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for service users and carers.
- To apply for the current roles, it is essential that you are a Qualified Social Worker or Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Ideally you post qualifying experience or post graduate training is in a specialist area, however we actively invite applications from qualified individuals with a passion for delivering Adult Care Services.
- If you have already undertaken a specialist role e.g., AMHP, Practice Educator, Moving & Handling, Housing solutions etc that would be ideal. Again, however, if you are keen to undertake these roles within the first year with you, we would like to hear from you.
