Community Integrated Care is recruiting for Advanced Support Workers, with flexible shift patterns.  

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Support Worker to step up. You will support adults with learning disabilities and autism, who have complex needs, to lead the best life possible.

This is a brand-new development, with purpose built, autism friendly accommodation to enable those who access our services to live as independently as possible, there a 5 individual people needing support in their brand-new homes, this means your skills and personality will be matched to the individual and their needs.

No two days will be the same, the individuals we will be supporting all have different challenges in their lives which include, autism and learning disabilities aged from 19 - 60. We are looking for an innovative team member who will be able to provide a person-centred support to individuals to enable them to achieve their best life possible.

You will become part of our team of advanced support workers to support people living in their own home in Newburn, Newcastle.

There are buses to and from Newcastle City Centre every 10 minutes!
 
What do our service users enjoy doing?
 
  • Other interests we have are watching retro cartoons, listening to music, visiting museums, home baking and some us like to go on day trips
  • We all enjoy different activities, including walking, swimming, trampolining, LEGO and many other things.
Other useful information?
 
  • There are always at least 3 colleagues on shift.
  • We like our staff to work 8am to 10pm and Nights 10pm to 8am. We also have a waking night shift in each of our homes.
  • We also have a core team that are based in the staff bungalow but can help if needed, these staff work 2 x 10pm to 8pm and another 9am to 5pm.
  • In order to support us to have the Best Life Possible our team have specialist training in Positive behaviour support, Total communication, autism and learning disabilities.
  

 


Benefits
