The Role: Technical Sales Engineer (Aftersales)
This is genuinely a career "one off" technical sales opportunity working for an industry leading special purpose machinery, CNC machine and machine tool manufacturer. Using your technical experience, awareness and knowledge of automated CNC machine tools, you will play a vital role working with existing customers to assist with upgrade recommendation requirements, service solutions, spares and consumables support and a full turnkey technical advisory support service to customers that use the company's state of the art aluminum, wood, plastic and steel processing machines.
This role is expected to be 75% office based in Shropshire with travel to trade shows, exhibitions and customer sites taking place as required.
This really is the perfect position for a knowledgeable CNC machine, machine tool or special purpose machinery engineer who has excellent commercial, customer service / support and sales skills.
You will be dealing directly with existing customers only in this aftersales capacity; whereby you will communicate with a wide variety of people, from machine operators and engineers, to operations managers and engineering leads. A very interesting and rewarding job that will ensure you use all of your technical knowhow and awareness.

Candidate Requirements:
Essentially, you will have excellent technical knowledge of CNC machines, machine tools and / or automated machine tools. Awareness of flat bed automated machines, plasma or laser cutting machines or wood working machines would be advantageous but is not essential.
Your technical engineering knowledge may come from a background in machinery operation, servicing, maintenance, faultfinding and repair or similar technician or engineering related discipline. Your level of knowledge will enable you to listen, advise, guide and make recommendations to your customers about their machines.
As this role is predominantly office based, you will be someone who enjoys the office environment with little travel but wants to use all of their technical knowledge and knowhow. This really is the perfect job for a field service or sales engineer that wants to get off the road from extensive travelling, and move into an office biased capacity but not lose the buzz and interest of working directly within engineering.
