Job description

We are looking for an experienced Agile Business Analyst, working as part of a multi-disciplinary consulting team to deliver complex, digital transformation solutions for our clients.

As a Business Analyst at Valtech, you are critical to the success of our projects. You’ll be involved at every stage: from kick-off, discovery and build, through testing and on-going support phases. Working closely with our clients and stakeholders, you’ll be responsible for turning the project vision and user experience into deliverables the team can work with, whilst always maintaining a focus on the ‘why’ for your project.

A day in the life of an Agile Business Analyst

Your role as Business Analyst will be to collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to define and agree project roadmaps for delivery; simultaneously focussing on the short, medium and long-term goals of the project. You will be responsible for capturing Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for client requirements, as well as produce journey maps & process models to ultimately enable your team to deliver successful project outcomes. Additionally, you will:

  • Be the expert in eliciting and articulating digital project requirements, working through every stage of the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage the overall project/workstream backlog, including prioritisation with your Product Owner and Delivery Manager.
  • Work closely with User Researchers, Developers and QA testers to prepare user stories for delivery.
  • Lead client workshops and a variety of team ceremonies as required, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives etc.

You and the role

You are someone with extensive experience working in a client-facing digital agency/consultancy environment, versed in delivering complex software projects by leveraging agile methodologies. You will have comprehensive knowledge of discovery & workshop facilitation tools and techniques, across a variety of project scenarios and be able to build strong working relationships with ease across all levels of an organisation, to ensure successful project outcomes.

We would love if you have

  • Experience working in multi-discipline project teams delivering complex solutions, ideally within the digital platforms, digital experience, enterprise transformation and/or multichannel commerce space.
  • Ideally, you will have experience within the composable architecture/microservices software space (Optimizely, Commercetools, Contentful, Algolia etc are advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile and Lean principles, and the ability to explain and educate others on them
  • A passion for digital technologies and emerging digital trends

What you can expect from us

Here at Valtech we’re big believers that our staff are our most important asset, and as such we want to make sure we look after you. You will receive:

  • A flexible, hybrid working model.
  • Working as part of an inclusive and diverse workforce, and the opportunity to work on truly exciting and projects with collaborative teams at a national and international level.
  • A comprehensive corporate benefits package, including competitive salary, pension, life insurance, private healthcare and dental cover etc.
  • Access to online learning courses to support your continuous learning and development and growth.

Apart from the benefits listed above, we have more to offer. Our growth development program, for example, to help you excel in your existing profession, or enable you to explore another. Also, there are plenty of internal initiatives for you to take part in. Whether it's about improving Valtech as a business or contributing to the world around us, we encourage our employees to pursue their professional and personal ambitions.

Join Valtech

Not only can you help us lead the digital experience revolution, but you can lead the change. The journey Valtech is on is ambitious and therefore opens doors.
