About the Job

As an Agricultural Liaison Officer, your role will be pivotal in the facilitation of infrastructure projects where they meet agricultural interests and operations. Your responsibilities will include the management of wayleave agreements and other associated legal documents with farmers, landowners, tenants, and other utility companies, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to streamline processes and ensure efficient land and resource management. You'll be responsible for ensuring contractors are aware of entry-to-land provisions and notices and that these are adhered to, and for taking pre-entry records of condition on property prior to contractor access. You'll need to develop and maintain strong relationships with local farmers and regulatory authorities, and discuss and facilitate accommodation works, resolve disputes and address concerns related to utilities, land use, and compensation when these arise.

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you'll be an experienced Agricultural Liaison Officer, with a number of years' experience in a similar role. Our client would also consider candidates with a working knowledge of the agricultural sector and an interest in the utility and infrastructure sectors. A degree in agriculture, land management, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is essential, and specialized knowledge of utility infrastructure, wayleaves, and relevant regulations would be highly desirable. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential along with exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. A full UK driving licence is vital.
