Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Gateshead.

Askham Bryan College and University Centre are searching for an Agri-Science and Technology Lead and HE Course Manager to spearhead our efforts in revolutionising the agricultural sector through cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the future of agriculture and to shape the next generation of agri-science professionals.
The role:
As the Agri-Science and Technology Lead and HE Course Manager, you will:
Lead Innovation: Drive advancements in agricultural practices through technology, research, and sustainable methods.
Manage and Develop Curriculum: developing and delivering cutting-edge higher education courses in agri-Science and Technology.
Foster Research Opportunities: Identify and pursue research opportunities that align with our mission of sustainable and technologically advanced agriculture.
Engage with Industry: Build and maintain relationships with key industry partners, stakeholders, and organizations to enhance learning and research opportunities.
Inspire Students: Mentor and guide students, fostering a learning environment that prepares them for successful careers in the fields of agriculture and agri-science & technology.
About You:
Passionate about transforming agriculture through Science and Technology.
Experienced in agri-science, with a strong background in agricultural technology, research, or education.
A Leader with proven management skills and the ability to inspire both students and colleagues.
Innovative with a track record of implementing new technologies or practices in agriculture.
A clear understanding of research concepts and data analysis and the application of these within Agri-science and Technology.
Qualifications: Educated to at least Level 6, but ideally a Master’s or higher in Agricultural Science, Technology, or a related field. Experience in higher education is desirable.
