Our client, a well-established and expanding International Freight Forwarding & Logistics Provider, which provides a wide range of innovative solutions that ensures their customers supply chains have a competitive edge, are looking to recruit a talented Air Import Clerk, to be based at offices nearby Heathrow Airport.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Air Import Clerk will deal with all aspects of Air Import freight forwarding operations including; customer service, documentation, administration and handling the process from start to end.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process shipping documentation, ensuring all forms are fully compliant with HMRC customs and regulations Make sure that all imports are correctly declared Quote for Air Import shipments to overseas agents and UK customers Perform all aspects of the sales process and input & update all relevant activities utilizing on in- house system (ILS) Process all customs entries and clearances Arrange Collections/ Deliveries of Air Freight Update originating offices/ consignee s with cargo status once processed Charge out shipments and adding accruals onto our IT system Ensure security protocol is followed with regards to office/warehouse access Assist management as required Ad hoc administrative and office duties Assist accounts department with any queries Help with internal audits on all areas of compliance, Import entries & AEO audits
To Be Considered:
5 years proof of continuous employment in the UK Experience working within a Air Import freight forwarding operations role Import experience with completing customs entries preferably on CDS High level of accuracy and good attention to detail Technologically proficient, familiar with MS Office, Sequoia, E-Customs and ASM software Keen learner, able to focus in difficult situations and adapt accordingly Excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with a variety of different people confidently, clearly and concisely Capable of working well in a team Ability to always maintain confidentiality Flexible and willing to assist other sections
