Our client is looking for an Air Import Coordinator
Main Requirements:
The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience within the Freight Forwarding industry. Exceptional customer service skills with a keen eye for detail. Highly organized and accustomed to working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Computer literate with basic knowledge of Excel, Word. Preferred but not essential AS400, Outlook and ASM Sequoia
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Be able to work accurately with good attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, execute and complete a given task within a specified timeframe.
• Self-initiative.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Understand requirements and operational procedures
• Good organisation skills
• Problem solving and Leadership skills.
• A good understanding of CHIEF/CDS entries for Import and Export
Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Liaising with airlines, agents, customers and origin offices, to arrange the smooth handling of shipments. Arranging collections for freight from the airline, arranging deliveries to customers and completing invoicing. Dealing with customs queries whilst supporting the customs team. Liaise with different branches to arrange their trucking requirements and manage the inbound Air Freight. Work in compliant manner by following set out procedures.
The hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to friday but flexibility is required
Salary up to £31K depending on experience
