Job description
This role is fixed term for two years and is an exciting opportunity to play an important part in helping deliver the University of Liverpool’s research and impact ambitions through strategic bid and partnership development activities designed to help grow collaboration and co-creation with non-HEI external partners. A key focus of this role is to support the University relationship with the Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s National Institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The role will be embedded in the Faculty of Science and Engineering (Research and Impact team) but will have an institution-wide remit and will link directly with University central teams supporting knowledge exchange, regional, national and international engagement and partnership development (principally in the Research, Partnerships and Innovation Directorate (RPI)). This is a role with a mix of proactive and reactive tasks, as well as the opportunity to work independently and develop your own portfolio of activities. We are looking for a skilled communicator, able to engage and enthuse in equal measure and who can bring knowledge of the UK research and innovation policy and funder landscape as well as a successful track record of mechanisms to accelerate Partnership working (i.e. consultancy, KTP, contract R&D). The role is based at Liverpool University campus on a hybrid basis. You will have a Degree (or equivalent qualification or relevant professional experience).
