Responsibilities:

• Lead with Excellence: Spearhead the delivery of a first-class lettings, allocations, and void management service. Align your efforts with our organizational goals, vision, and statutory obligations.
• Fair Housing Allocation: Ensure the fair and equitable distribution of secure Council housing, facilitate nominations to Registered Providers, and manage mobility schemes and other housing options in accordance with our housing allocations scheme and quota plans. Provide expert advice on the assessment of need for sheltered and adapted housing.
• Policy Development: Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures in allocations, voids, and lettings. Utilize business intelligence and transformation strategies to enhance, monitor, and review the voids and lettings process. Set and monitor performance targets to ensure efficient and streamlined services.
• Budget Management: Oversee budget management for the Allocations and Lettings Service. Forecast and monitor budgetary projections to deliver services within budget, producing periodic budget monitoring reports.
• Leadership: Act as a deputy for the Head of Allocations & Lettings as needed, ensuring continuity and consistency in service delivery.
