Alumni & Supporter Relations Officer (Bayes)

Background The Philanthropy and Alumni & Supporter Relations Office supports the University's Strategic Plan by delivering philanthropic income and other forms of financial and non-financial support from alumni, friends, companies, livery companies, trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies and institutions. We raise money for University-wide and strategically important initiatives that cover student support, world class research and development of the University's estate. The Office also works closely with Schools and other Professional Services teams to support UK and international student recruitment, Careers opportunities and enhances the Student Experience, all of which support the University's Mission and Vision. Responsibilities You will take a strategic and joined-up approach to planning, delivery and impact evaluation of events and volunteering programmes to enhance alumni engagement and opportunities afforded by the City and Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School) global alumni community. You will manage an assigned portfolio of alumni volunteers and groups with the aim of continuously increasing value for and contributions from stakeholders in support of Bayes and City’s strategic priorities. You will be part of the Alumni & Supporter Relations team with special responsibility for Bayes alumni engagement. Person Specification You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to build effective professional relationships with a wide range of audiences from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. Experienced in the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, you will have exceptional and demonstrable organisational and planning skills, and the ability and drive to take ownership of projects and take them to completion. Educated to degree level and with a proven ability to think strategically and creatively, you will be able to identify problems and effective solutions.
