Job Title:Ambulance Fleet Assistant (Fixed-Term - 3 Months)
Salary: 10.42ph
Location: Epping, Essex
Position Type: Fixed-Term (3 Months), Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Some Weekends Required, 37.50 hours per week.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our clients team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking cleaning duties and preparing emergency ambulances in accordance with Make Ready standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Infection Control:
- Perform cleaning duties to uphold a clean and infection-free patient treatment environment.
- Maintain vehicle, estate, and facility cleanliness to meet the Trust's audit criterion for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).
- Make Ready Services:
- Prepare emergency ambulances according to a structured plan within strict time schedules.
- Ensure vehicles comply with Make Ready standard operating procedures and Quality Assurance checks.
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Undertake basic vehicle inspections, basic repairs, and initiate fleet services to address vehicle defects.
- Liaise with internal and external contractors for emergency vehicle recovery/repairs as required.
- Inventory Management:
- Place weekly orders for medical equipment/consumables, accept deliveries, and maintain inventory records.
- Monitor, replenish, and store items as necessary, following appropriate filing procedures.
- Communication and Engagement:
- Liaise with operational managers to support meeting operational vehicle requirements.
- Participate in a Major Incident logistics response capability to maximise vehicle, equipment, and consumable availability.
- Training and Development:
- Participate in the Personal Development Review program, identifying and addressing training needs.
- Complete all training defined by the Trust as a requirement for the role.
Qualifications:
- Full UK driving license, including category C1 (maximum 3 points - dependent on code).
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Experience and Knowledge:
- Ability to understand routine work procedures and follow them systematically.
- Understanding of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Experience working to time deadlines.
