Can you help us continue to meet the highest standards set out in our Code of Business?
We are looking for an AML Analyst to join our Knowledge Compliance & Risk team in either Edinburgh or Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading team in a successful, growing firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments on new and existing clients in order to establish a detailed client risk profile, ultimately determining whether it meets firm and regulatory requirements. You will communicate effectively with team members, employees across the firm and external stakeholders to ensure accurate CDD/KYC and/or source of wealth/funds information is obtained. You will maintain accurate client records once all CDD/KYC and source of wealth and funds-related documentation are collected. You will also be required to deal with general compliance queries with the wider compliance team.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of one year's compliance experience working in a law firm or a professional services environment, as well as a basic understanding of UK AML legislation and LSAG Guidance. You should have highly effective research skills using all relevant information sources, including IT resources; good knowledge of relevant compliance rules and regulations, whilst possessing good analytical and research skills and being able to produce clear, accurate findings in good detail.
At the heart of Burness Paull is our independence.
It’s this that gives us the licence to shape our business and culture in the sustainable way we want to, supporting the needs of our people, our clients, our wider community and the environment. It means freedom to pursue a philosophy of always being human in attitude and high-performing in approach.
For our people that means recognising everyone is different and valuing those differences. A culture that celebrates openness and where genuine advice and relationships are championed. An environment that encourages everyone to aim for success by being the best version of themselves.
And because we value the contribution that every one of our team makes, we make sure everyone is rewarded over and above the usual benefits you'd expect from a leading law firm. That means bonus schemes for all employees, family-friendly policies that stand out in the market, and a range of health & wellbeing initiatives that take a holistic approach to supporting colleagues.
We set the bar high. Our clients and people love that.
