A recent venture is working toward the vision of becoming the largest film studio complex in London. With over 200,000 square feet of studio, production and support space.
We require an analyst to join an intimate London-based team of five investment professionals (including the principal). Your primary role will be fund reporting and monitoring of portfolio company performance. However, you will participate in various aspects of managing an existing portfolio and over time have the opportunity to become involved more operationally with our group companies. This role also requires working closely with management and employees within our portfolio companies.
Your principal responsibilities
- Running the reporting process timeline and activities;
- Monitoring of portfolio company performance, including the preparation of quarterly:
- Company reports for the investment committee; and
- Portfolio performance reporting;
- Maintenance of portfolio company capitalisation tables;
- Monitoring of loans made to portfolio companies; and
- Preparation of return models for selected investments
What we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone who has strong commercial aptitude and good people skills. To succeed in this position, you will need to be self-motivated and process-orientated. You will need to have the ability to work independently but also contribute to the overall objectives of a professional services team.
You will need to demonstrate a high degree of numerical, verbal and analytical competence. The ideal candidate will use their initiative, and be enthusiastic and confident tackling a wide variety of tasks regardless of size and scope. They will also be someone who is diligent, hardworking, and has good attention to detail.
Specific requirements for this role include:
- Degree from a top-tier university;
- Between 1 and 2 years of continuous professional experience in a recognised finance or analytical role;
- Excellent numerical ability and a high degree of competence with Excel, and;
- Experience with company and market research.
