Job description
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of an ambitious Work Programme, serving customers across HMRC.

The Work Programme spans two distinct areas:

Delivery of expert data insight and exploitation to our stakeholders which acts to challenge convention and convey the art of the possible.
Operational deployment of advanced analytical methods to support advancements in risk-targeting and the utilisation of new sources of data and intelligence.
You will lead a team of 14 across five locations in a dynamic and challenging environment. Through the line management of 9 Lead Data Analysts, you will set a clear direction and vision for the team to support the delivery of the COIR Business Plan.

To achieve this, you will need to inform, influence, persuade and negotiate with a range of stakeholders. An ability to translate complex data and concepts into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders is key.

It will be critical for you to foster an inclusive culture and possess an empowering leadership style to further develop a high-performing team with a reputation for excellence.

Acknowledging the scarcity of our resource, you will be experienced in establishing methods to accurately track and monitor the performance and quality of the outcomes delivered.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work with your peers to support and actively shape the direction of COIR.

The Senior Leadership Team is delivering its 5-year plan to ensure it is focused and structured to effectively deliver future activity.  As such, elements of the Analytics Manager role may change.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a robust technical background, underpinned by a passion for analytics.
