To lead a team of Commercial Analysts and deliver excellence in data and analytics for the Sourcing and Supply functions within the Commercial Department at AAH. They will play acritical role working in close collaboration with Sourcing, Supply, and thePricing departments, to leverage data and market intelligence, to make optimalsourcing decisions, and improve the buying effectiveness.
This person will be highly competent in analysing data sources, to explore trends, insights and market intelligence and can turn these into profitable actions. They will need the ability to apply advanced analytics to explore data and be competent using data workflows and data visualisation tools.
Accountabilities:
- Create a high performing analytics team, ensuring the right skills are in place, and establish a culture of best practice, development, and innovation.
- Create a governance structure within the Commercial team, by actively managing the margin, challenge areas of underperformance and proactively provide business insight for growth.
- Improve the buying efficiency through designing and implementing a rules-based approach to cost challenges, through leveraging data and insights.
- Improve the commercial performance through improved insights on stock availability, via combining additional data sources and market intelligence, ensuring Supply, Sourcing and Pricing are joined up on commercial decisions.
- Effectively partner with Commercial managers across Pricing, Propositions, Category and Ecommerce, to develop long-term strategic growth initiatives and short-term tactical idea generation.
