About our Team: As an Analytics Team Lead, you will be leading and coaching a team of data analysts to use global data from the largest, real-time fraud detection platform to craft solutions for our enterprise customers and deliver against strategic projects.
About the Role: In this role you will use your experience with data analysis in fraud and technology. You will lead to immediate real-world impact in the form of lower customer friction, reduced fraud losses and as a result, increased customer profitability.
Responsibilities
- Managing, leading and promoting a team of 3-5 analysts. Scope and plan deliverables, ensuring that your team’s delivery is on track. Motivate your team to grow in their roles
- Performing data analysis to identify both high-risk and trusted behaviours, translating findings into actionable insights. Ranging from intuitive rules to high-performing policy score optimisations. which will be deployed live in the ThreatMetrix® decision engine
- Staying ahead of fraud & industry trends and continuously propose new ways to fight emerging & dormant threats. Inspire the wider team to do the same and think outside the box, beyond the data etc
- Producing materials summarising your analysis and present compelling narratives to customers and prospects. Guide your team to do the same through regular coaching, brainstorming and maintaining of best practice documentation
- Collaborating with wider teams. These include Product, Engineering, Sales and Marketing to help shape and improve our products and external messaging
- Demonstrating a professional and customer-centric persona when interacting directly with customers on a regular basis via phone, e-mail, and chat
Who is the ideal candidate?
- Demonstrate Analytics management experience in the security, fraud, financial crime or payments industry. (Banking and other very large organizations ideal)
- Show a keen interest in working with both large and small datasets. Have a fluency in SQL that allows you to effortlessly scale up original ideas generated through your close analysis. (Knowledge of Python is a plus)
- Demonstrate confidence in choosing and applying statistical techniques in the correct manner
- Show a keen eye for detail and good critical thinking skills
- Show a deep curiosity that drives your investigations into fraud. Account takeover, scams, social engineering, Card Not Present (CNP) fraud, money laundering, money mules, synthetic identity etc
- Experience with fraud system managements such as ThreatMetrix, Featurespace, Hunter, Iovation, BioCatch, Actimize Falcon, etc.
- Be able to present with an ability to remain calm & composed when ideas are challenged. Maintain a professional & customer-centric persona in all external interactions.
