Salary - Point 14, £13,025.68 per annum – pro-rata of £22,950 per annum
Hours - 21 (0.56757FTE), all year round. (Some weekends instead of midweek sessions agreed in advance)

We are looking for a flexible motivated individual who enjoys working with both people and animals.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the development and running of our new Animal Care units which will house a range of exotic animals including small mammals, birds, fish and reptiles. And our outdoor unit working with rabbits, chickens etc.
In this role duties will include animal husbandry, record keeping, health monitoring maintaining and general hygiene, health and safety. You will contribute to the delivery of the curriculum in the area supporting both staff and students, assisting teaching staff to prepare for sessions, supervision and assessments of practical tasks of students whilst they undertake duties such as maintenance of accommodation, feeding and general animal husbandry.
Applicants should have previous experience of working with animals a passion for education and an Animal Care qualification at least at level 3 relating to the care/management of animals.
The successful applicant will be required to contribute to the 365-day rota for care of the animals during weekends and holidays, ideally the applicant will live locally to Peterborough College to ensure that care can be maintained if there are significant disruptions to travel and in the case of emergency.
