The vacancy
Passionate about animals? Join our team as an Animal Care Technician and play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our furry friends!
Requirements:
  • Experience in animal care or related field
  • Knowledge of proper handling and care techniques
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean environment
  • Compassionate attitude towards animals
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment activities for animals
  • Monitor and report on the health and behavior of animals
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff on medical care
  • Maintain cleanliness in animal living areas
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards

We are looking for a candidate who is capable of working on their own to complete routine animal husbandry and feeding tasks, covering annual leave and sickness.

You will be working with a variety of mammals, birds, fish, invertebrates and reptiles and should hold (a minimum) Level 2 qualification in small animal care. A car and a clean driving licence is desirable.

This is predominantly a weekend role but will be required to cover holidays and sickness as well

The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
