Job description

I am currently working with a superb company that has a rare opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing IFA practice.

This role would suit a Graduate who is looking to start a career within the Wealth Management / Investment sector, or it would suit someone who is currently working in financial services but is looking to streamline into a more analytical role where you will have the opportunity to take qualifications to become qualified and develop organically within the business.

You will be working as part of the Paraplanning Team and assist in the functioning of the team in supporting the firm’s Financial Planners to deliver fantastic service to their clients. This is a full time office based role with the potential once all training is complete to work from home 1 day a week.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production of Annual Review Packs & Reports

The main responsibility within this role will require the individual to develop the skillset to produce pre-meeting Annual Review Packs for our clients and also to assist in producing post-meeting Annual Review Reports.

This role will help individuals to develop technical knowledge on important systems that we use as part of the technical analysis process, such as Intelliflo Office and FEAnalytics. The role will provide an insight into the structure of an IFA office and will provide an introduction into financial products and investment solutions.

The individual will be expected to assist in other duties that are deemed appropriate for their position and experience.

Production of Simple Advice Reports

Once the individual has cemented some of the core skills and expertise pertinent to the role, further responsibilities will include assisting the Paraplanning Team in producing simple Advice Reports for clients, this will include dealing with financial products such as General Investment Accounts (GIAs) and Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs).

Professional Qualifications:

There will be the opportunity to study for qualifications and this will supported by the company.

Advantageous Experience:

- Progression within the CII Framework would be advantageous, however not expected.

- Previous experience within a financial based industry, or studies completed in fields such as Economics (or similar).

Required Skills:

- The ability to be organised, analytical and exhibit great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- The ability to follow process and directions, as part of a team, but also to work independently in the main.

- Experience with Microsoft Office, a good overall standard of IT literacy.

- To take pride in work produced and to work with integrity.
