Our client a leader within their industry is seeking an Application Support Analyst to join the team.
About the role:
IT applications Support Analyst provides both an operational and a process support function, as well as maintaining primary and peripheral systems.
In addition to ongoing problem-resolving, periodic application enhancements and upgrades, the position also requires close interaction with all business areas and managing external vendors. You are expected to perform functional support duties and help users on a range of IT applications. Technical training will be provided for key applications, yet good experience is preferred of HR and time-and-attendance systems. The role is flexible, however, so you may be asked to undertake actions and provide support for applications and services which this document does not explicitly mention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing daily incidents and problems for applications and technical queries
- Monitoring, maintaining and administering application systems, servers and interfaces.
- Maintaining existing reports and developing new ones, in line with business requirements
- Providing functional support to users on all supported applications and systems
- Taking ownership of issues and escalating, when required, to third-party vendors.
- On-boarding of new vendors
- Documenting new and existing applications and maintaining IT procedures and technical documentation, including service catalogue and change control process.
- Carrying out upgrades and system changes, as required, to agreed standards and procedures.
- Assisting, when required, in project activities and technical designs.
- Self-familiarising with business network/hardware infrastructure and all applications, along with fully understanding their interfaces and interdependencies.

- Knowledge of HR and finance processes
