Application Support Engineer Cambridge / WFH to £65k

As an Application Support Engineer you will provide high quality 2nd line support to clients in the EU, working on complex issues and collaborating with the client's technical teams to provide assistance with installations and other technical issues, escalating to engineering teams where appropriate.
You'll use your judgement and specialist technical product knowledge to recommend resolutions, working on complex issues that could take days or weeks to follow through - you'll build strong client relationships, reporting progress and collaborating to understand the client's issue and business problem.
You will also seek to proactively identify, document and report supportability, reliability and maintenance issues.
Location / WFH:
You'll join a small, friendly and highly talented team in the Cambridge office twice a week, with flexibility to work from home the other three days.
Requirements:
- You have Application / Technical Support experience - having worked with complex software products
- You have advanced critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills
- You have excellent, client facing, communication skills and are able to build productive relationships
- You're tech savvy and able to gain an indepth understanding of particular software applications
- You're able to read and understand scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python, T-SQL)
- Ideally you will have a good knowledge of Windows, Azure and SaaS
- You're likely to be degree educated in a STEM discipline
