We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Application Support Team Leader to join our Technology Team, based at our Skipton office on a permanent basis.
We are an inclusive team and feel it’s important to regularly engage face to face. That’s why our role is offered on a hybrid working basis to offer you a great work/life balance, working remotely and attending our Skipton office 2 days per week. Therefore, you will need to be within a reasonable commute of this office.
A role you will love
Reporting into the Application Support Manager, this role manages an established team who are responsible for the support and maintenance of a broad suite of Business, Financial and Operational applications across Computershare’s EMEA region.
As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the Application Support team performs effective triaging and resolving of software support issues, often coordinating the involvement of multiple technology teams, including infrastructure and development services.
Applications supported range from in-house developed systems to third party software created across multiple technology frameworks. The position is required to work closely with the Service Management and Development teams, utilising the core ITIL principles in Change, Release, Incident and Problem management as well as supporting the successful delivery of new services/applications into the production environment.
Key roles and responsibilities, include, but are not limited to;
· Oversee the Application Support Team providing resolution of application issues for users, partnering with the Service Desk and other technology Support Teams as required.
· Act as an escalation point for situations requiring urgent attention.
· Management of support analysts within the team to:
· Manage day-to-day operations of support services so that user problems are identified, prioritized, researched, resolved and followed up quickly and competently
· Plan, prioritise and schedule support activities to ensure continuity of service, including DRP & BCP events
· Assist Support Analysts with prioritisation of work items
What will you bring to the role?
We’re looking for an experienced people manager with strong leadership skills, who can build, influence, and maintain strong relationships. This goes hand in hand with the need for proven experience of supporting integrated products, proficient with service desk tools and knowledge of ITIL methodology. You’ll also have a keen eye for continual improvement, allowing for efficiencies within the team.
Its key that you have the aptitude to successfully plan and prioritise, using a high level of initiative with the ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities. Excellent analytical and research skills with the competence to collect and analyse complex material and data and present it in accessible format.
Other required skills, experience and competencies include;
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience of a range of analysis techniques for problem solving and presentation skills
· Experience of working on projects to deliver new applications
· Experience of working in a cross-functional team
