We're looking for an Apprentice Building Services Engineer to join our Design and Business Services Team based in Liverpool, Merseyside, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering

How does an apprenticeship work?
As Apprentice Building Services Engineer you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Building Services Engineering, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Design and Business Services team which operates as part of Kier Construction and is one of the UK's leading integrated property service providers. We help clients deliver great results from investing, owning, building, operating and managing their property portfolios.
Your day to day will include:
- Collaborate with senior engineers to perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure the efficiency, reliability, and compliance of mechanical systems with industry standards and regulations.
- Learn to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical Building Services systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Learn to use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
What are we looking for?
The role of Apprentice Building Services Engineeris great for you if:
- Minimum of 4 GCSES grade 4 and above including Maths and English
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards professional development.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving.
