WHAT are the HOURS?

Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 6pm.

Park Hall Day Nursery has an exciting opportunity for you to join their team as an Apprentice Nursery Assistant where you will be working towards your Early Years Practitioner Level 2 qualification for a minimum of 16 months. This position will allow you to kick-start your career in the childcare sector. You will gain real life experience in looking after young people whilst developing your knowledge of child development and safeguarding! This apprenticeship will give you the chance to see young children take their first steps, speak their first words, and support them as they prepare to start school.

DAY to DAY, you will….

· Provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.

· Develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.

· Understand and work to preschool nursery policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies.

· Be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Deputy Nursery Manager/Nursery Manager.

· Complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship.

· GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above

· UK Residency (MUST have lived in the UK for 3 years+)

· Childcare experience e.g., babysitting, taking care of younger family members. (Desired)
