Our development programme consists of five modules and runs in parallel to your permanent job. The modules are designed to bring out your interpersonal and leadership skills, and complement the hands-on technical experience that you will gain in your role.
We will also fully fund your academic qualification, the qualification you are enrolled on will be tailored to the role you will be doing, your academic level and personal ambitions. (We offer apprenticeships as well as other qualifications at various levels).

What you will be doing:
You will be enrolled onto an apprenticeship course in this field, to suit your current educational level. We can offer apprenticeships from a level 3 to a degree level apprenticeship fully funded by Galliford Try. The course level will be discussed with you at interview stage and will be confirmed at offer. At the end of the programme, you will gain a qualification in this field as well as learning the practical skills for the role throughout.
Alongside this, you will join us as part of our Trainee Development Programme, where you will be given the training and tools to develop your skills through a series of modules over a 2 year period followed by a graduation event.
As an Apprentice / Trainee Security Installer, you will work closely with your line manager to assist the site team in completing installations on Intruder, CCTV and Access Control Systems.
You will:
- Assist with security installations of Intruder, CCTV and Access Control Systems
- Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Assist in updating site documentation, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and updating the as-built documentation.
- Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
- Assist in basic planning of site activities. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
