We have a wonderful opportunity for a Spirit Operations Apprentice based at Diageo Talisker on the beautiful Isle of Skye!
First Year Base Pay £23,712.00 + Bonus + Pension + Shares + More Benefits!

How does the programme work?
Spirit Supply plays a vital role in our supply chain. You will be directly involved in all of Operation Processes from Maltings, Distilling ,Warehouses & Effluent Treatment plants to learning how Asset Care and Laboratories support these Operational Sites. . You’ll spend three enjoyable years as a respected member of these groups, learning everything there is to know.
The programme is structured at a pace to help, support and encourage you. You will rotate between sites every 3- 4 months to gain a wide appreciation of our operations which will help develop your technical knowledge. The structure of the program will involve you being on site at all times and assessment of modules will be carried out by the College at site. To ensure you are successful in gaining your Apprenticeship you have to pass all modules along with passing IBD General Certificate in Distilling within the first 2 years.
Who are we looking for?
Academically, we’re looking for three Highers including Chemistry at B or above in addition to three Nat 5’s – including Maths, English and one technical or science subject.
Someone with great ideas and the willingness to share them, who’s proud of getting a phenomenal job done. Integrity, respect for others and, above all, a passion for learning something new every day, will also really mark you out.

What should I expect from the selection process?
Selecting the right individuals to join our programme is essential to us – we want to see all that complete this Apprenticeship succeed and keep crafting a satisfying career!
This is why we have built a 3 steps selection process:
  • 1st STEP – CV application and online game set
At this stage is important that you submit your updated CV, clearly stating your highest acquired education and your experience. We don’t expect you to have worked in this field, a brief description of your part time jobs, volunteering, sports, and hobbies can be a phenomenal way to introduce yourself. Right after your CV submission, you will also receive a link to an online game set. Please make sure to complete the set in a quite environment with no distraction and stable Wi-Fi, within 48 hours of recieving the invite.
  • 2nd STEP – Telephone Screening
After our first screening, the second stage will be a short telephone conversation. We will ask you some questions relating to why you would like this opportunity, and around how you work. We know it can be uncomfortable, we all had to do one before! Think of it as your opportunity to tell us more about yourself and why you are the right person for this programme.
  • 3rd and FINAL STEP – Assessment Centre
Congratulations, if you are invited to our AC, you’ve made it to the finals!
This will be an amazing opportunity to let your personality and passion shine, and you will meet our managers & other Operators . This AC will be a test to determine how you think , prioritise tasks and reasons for doing so. Spirit Operations
