Apprentice Youth Justice Officer

Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The highly skilled and dedicated multi-agency service includes police, psychologists, social workers, probation, education worker, substance misuse worker, and restorative Justice Officer and other professionals.
The team deliver work in a trauma informed and child first way, having regular reflective practice sessions to support you and allow time to consider interventions and approaches. You will be part of a valued team that ensures practitioners are able to deliver effective interventions that make a difference for young people and their families, in all aspects of their lives.
You will train on the job during a two and half year period to achieve an Apprentice Level 5 in Youth Justice Practice.
