The Opportunity

Salary: £22,737 to £23,144 per annum.

Working Pattern: Full-Time, 37 hours per week.

Contract type: Two-year Apprenticeship

Location: Hybrid with County Hall, Chichester as your office base.

Whilst growing your career you will undertake an Advanced Apprenticeship alongside working flexibly with colleagues to provide a customer focused, administration service to others.

You will be responsible for ensuring that data and documentation are processed efficiently and accurately. As part of a fast-paced team you will be regularly communicating through phone and email along with updating spreadsheets.

You will ensure the requirements of the apprenticeship programme are fully understood by learners and their line managers, enabling apprentices to achieve their highest potential.

As part of this role, you will undertake the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship. The training will involve working with an assessor to develop a work-based portfolio, undertaking work-based assessments, completing all assignments / projects relating to the apprenticeship standard and presenting evidence portfolios for assessment within specified timeframes.

Experience and skills

Key Skills:

  • Good communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team completing shared tasks.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently work with complex queries and sensitive issues, responding appropriately.
  • Ability to meet set deadlines and understand when problems need to be referred upwards.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Ability to understand data protection and sensitivity around complex situations.

Qualifications and/or experience:

  • 5 GCSEs with A-C/ 4-9 passes including Maths and English or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating that level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Experience of working in an administration and/or customer service role would be beneficial.
