Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Co-ordinator

About This Position Bury College are now welcoming applications for an Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Co-ordinator. The primary objective of the Apprenticeship Innovation Ambassador Co-ordinator is to equip apprentices who are employed in local businesses with knowledge and confidence to support innovative practice within their business and empower them to become ‘Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors’. This is a new post to Bury College funded by the Greater Manchester FE Innovation Programme via Innovate UK. Bury College is working in collaboration with the pilot programme and other colleges within the GM region to explore how FE Colleges can support businesses to innovate by facilitating access to expertise, skills, facilities and knowledge. This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2025 with plans to review and extend depending on the continued success of the programme. Key duties of this role will include: Outreach and employer engagement work to develop and support awareness raising activities of the FE Innovation Fund across the local business ecosystem, including the main aims and objectives of the fund (adoption and diffusion of innovations) Support the engagement of appropriate Apprentices working across our employer partners (minimum target 10 per GM borough) Contribute towards development and testing of an innovative training resource for apprentices to become ‘Apprentice Innovation Ambassadors’ increasing the innovation capacity of their host employers Contribute towards development and delivery of CPD programme on ‘Innovation Literacy’ that will be delivered to Apprentices so that they gain the knowledge and confidence to demystify and support their host businesses to move closer towards innovation adoption Support completion of project-related monitoring, evaluation, impact and evidence gathering requirements Carry out other duties from time to time within the general scope of the post as required by line manager About Us Bury College is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to full time students and part time students each year.
