Salary:£27,328 - £29,212 per annum

Contract:Full-time, Permanent

Hours:37 Hours per week

Annual Leave:30 per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays

About the College

  • Middlesbrough College is the largest General Further Education College in the Tees Valley and has been situated in Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, since 2008. It has developed from the initial main site to the vibrant campus that is now in place with our Campus Heart, dedicated Sixth Form, STEM Centre, Higher Education Centre, and further development for our apprentices in progress.

About the role

The Apprenticeship Marketing Schools Liaison & Recruitment Consultant will report to the apprenticeship recruitment manager and be responsible for arranging marketing strategies for developing increased awareness of the Northern Skills Brand across the Tyne and Wear, Durham, and Northumberland region. They will also be responsible for developing relationships with key contacts within schools, local careers services and referral agencies. In addition they will also manage the needs of our employers and learners to provide quality tailored recruitment services.

The successful candidate will have:

Qualifications

  • Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Experience within Marketing or promotions
  • To hold or be willing to work towards an IAG qualification.
  • A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of apprenticeships – desirable

Other

  • Car owner and hold a current driving licence.
  • Be able to work flexible hours and locations


Experience

  • Experience of post 16 Education Sector (specifically apprenticeships).
  • Education recruitment experience- Desired
  • Experience of organising events within the community
  • Current and relevant experience of working in a marketing or educational environment.
  • Experience of dealing with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to work on own initiative.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of the apprenticeship pathways available to school leavers.
  • Proven organisational/event promotions skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Confidence in delivering presentations and talks to large audiences.
  • IT Skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexibly.
  • To commit to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults within the College Group.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Commitment to excellence.
  • Awareness of the Northern Skills provision and apprenticeships.
  • Up to date driving license and access to a vehicle.
