Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Part IIArchitectural Assistant for long term construction and design projects on a salary of GBP28,333 - GBP32,192/annum. This role will be hybrid working currently a minimum of 2 days onsite per week.Responsibilities:- Working within multi-disciplinary design teams in delivery of major capital projects.- Taking responsibility for small projects or tasks within larger projects.- Providing assistance to design manager and senior architectural officers as required.- Producing drawings, specifications and presentation material for design and construction.- Potential workload will include projects from the organisation and include new build and upgrade of community facilities, the refurbishment and adaptation of listed buildings and a programme of new waste & recycling facilities.Essential Skills:- Educated to degree or other appropriate qualification in building design related subject.- Good technical design skills.- Good concept design skills.- Competent in CAD / Revit.- Good verbal communication skills.- Good drawing and visual presentation skills.- Knowledge of current architectural design theory.- Commitment to delivery of high-quality service.- You're confident and assertive when you put your views across to other people.- You back-up any suggestions you make, with facts.- You get on well with people, by explaining your ideas clearly, so that they understand you.- You keep up to date with any changes in the skills and knowledge you need.- You find out what information you need, and then get it, to make the right decisions in the time you've got.- You know when to refer to your manager.- You like to hear about different ideas; you're keen to do well; and you 'go the extra mile' for people.- You're able to cope with change and handle situations that seem unclear.- You're realistic about the time you need to do a job and will tell other people immediately if you can't do something.- You're keen to do things, and to do them well.- You work steadily to meet your targets.- You enjoy a challenge.- You work with other people to find ways of solving problems.- You work flexibly and you're happy to help other employees.
