Salary Architect (newly qualified) or Architectural Technician
We are looking for someone to join our manufacturing client, based between Canterbury and Dover, as an Architectural Technician to work on an exciting new project. If you are a newly qualified Architect, we'd still be happy to hear from you.
Salary is up to £29k, dependent upon experience and is 830am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Holiday entitlement is 28 days per annum, including bank holidays, plus company pension scheme.
Duties will include:
Being heavily involved in the preparation of the building regulations drawings and submissions
Manage the process
Lead on the technical design element of the project
Assist with the development of standard details
Assist the team with the construction detailing and technical drawings
Produce detailed construction drawings, both freehand and computer generated
Co-ordinate detailed design information
Prepare building regulation drawings
Costing materials from plansRequirements:
Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
Strong mathematical skills and computer literacy
Have excellent AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch-up skills
Experience in InDesign and 3D rendering packages
Good presentation skills
The ability to work under pressure
Evidence of being able to perform well as an individual and as part of a team
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
Knowledge of UK building and planning regulations
Understanding of building technology
Must be confident, friendly, outgoing person who is able to work well within a team
Must have driving licence as may have to visit other site in Kent
*Must have transport due to the location of the business (there is no public transport to the location). This is a non-smoking site due to the nature of the business.
