We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join our Chartered Practice of Architects. As an Architectural Technician, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of architectural projects. You will work closely with architects and other professionals to create technical drawings, models, and plans. Duties
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop architectural designs
- Create detailed technical drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility
- Perform calculations and analysis related to building codes, materials, and structural integrity
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications
- Utilize 3D modeling software such as Rhinoceros 3D, Sketchup, or Grasshopper to create visual representations of designs
- Assist in the coordination of project timelines and deliverables
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Experience with system design and integration
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and software
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
