A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join a distribution market leader as Area Manager at their site based in Luton.
As Area Manager, you will lead a team of up to 50 people with clear objectives focused on delivering the key business accountabilities.
You will be accountable for first-rate service quality, achieved through the strategy of optimisation, efficient deployment of fleet and people resource, maintenance of strong relationships with local customers and sales team counterparts and stock management across the defined territory.
In the role, you will take responsibility for service fulfilment and ensuring financial/sales targets are met in partnership with the Sales Managers & Customer Managers supporting vending efficiency.
The Area Manager is accountable for the service for all customers within the defined territory, visiting customers on a defined call plan driving customer experience and developing relationships to support both the customer and sales teams with operational efficiencies through metric driven dashboards.
You will have direct accountability for all Health & Safety, resource compliance and driving the business principles of collaborative culture. You will also own the implementation for identified improvements across the identified territory.
You will be responsible for forming and sustaining first-class stakeholder relationships across management, customers, supply chain and fleet networks with decision making of always putting customer's at the heart of your decision making.
Our client is seeking an experienced leader who can demonstrate managing in a logistics and warehouse environment, who has proven experience in leading a team remotely.
The Area Manager will consistently deliver service excellence, offer great communication skills, be of a strong analytical background and have admirable business acumen qualities.
Salary for this opportunity is up to 52k plus a bonus of up to 15%, a company car and single private medical insurance.
You will work a 40 hour per week contract with no set working hours, so this position requires flexibility at the needs of the business.
