Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Construction Hire and Ground Shoring

Area to be covered: West of London

Remuneration: £35,000-£45,000 Neg. + £20,000-£25,000 uncapped commission

Benefits: Hybrid car or Car allowance of £500 per month + full benefits package
The role of the Area Sales Manager - Construction Hire and Ground Shoring will involve:

• Field sales position selling predominantly the hire (but also the sale) of Ground Shoring products including: trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products
• Selling into groundworkers
• Vacancy has come about through company growth, you will inherit an area achieving circa £1m+ turnover
• 70% new business development within your own contacts and also within our clients existing formwork & falsework customer database
• 30% account development targeting existing clients
• Project sizes will vary from £1,000 (a few trench boxes for a few weeks) up to £8,000+ per week for projects lasting 6 months+ (e.g. 2-3 story basement projects)
• Visiting construction sites typically 4 days per week and on average 4 customer visits per day
• Utilising a team of qualified engineers for technical support

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Construction Hire and Ground Shoring with:

• Open to Construction Hire field sales professionals that have sold into civil engineering contractors, concrete frame contractors or even general building contractors on the area
• Knowledge of Ground Shoring or temporary works is not essential
• Previous experience of having sold into groundworkers is not essential
• Hire industry field sales experience preferred but will consider the sale of Ground Shoring products too
• Proven territory management skills/ field sales proven track record
• Construction site experience
• Knowledge of trench boxes, manhole boxes, manhole braces, pipe lifter, struts & walers, trench lining and tube shoring products may be useful
• Empathetic, energetic, drive, passion and enthusiastic
• No journeymen/ unstable careers, will suit someone looking for longevity in their career
