Area Sales Manager - Industrial Plant

We are seeking a Area Sales Manager with experience in the Industrial Plant Industry to join our new business unit at Dawsongroup emc. This role offers an exciting opportunity to identify and secure both long and short-term rentals of our plant product range, as well as other products and services within a specific region (North of England).

As a Sales Executive, your responsibilities will include:

• Researching information on potential customers
• Monitoring existing customers' usage
• Making appointments to visit key potential renters, maintaining accurate sales records of follow-up visits and current business situations
• Establishing regular contact with decision makers to optimize opportunities through tenders, site surveys, and direct sales
• Following up on inquiries for new rental business
• Maintaining awareness of opportunities to sell second-hand equipment and negotiating prices accordingly
• Visiting recognized suppliers, manufacturers, and service agents to encourage more rentals and liaising on possible joint inquiries
• Ensuring specific sales targets are achieved within set time limits
• Completing all administration accurately and effectively and producing reports
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Branch staff and customers, keeping them informed of changes and developments in our products and services
• Maintaining awareness of trade and field situations and taking appropriate action to meet changing circumstances

The successful Sales Executive will:

• Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of the plant industry and equipment
• Have a proven sales background within the plant industry and be an experienced negotiator with excellent face-to-face selling skills
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of personal presentation
