Area Sales Manager - Manufacturing

The company have an exciting opportunity in Scotland where they are seeking an Area Sales Manager.

The role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for nurturing, maintaining and developing a portfolio of key strategic accounts along with continuing the company's sales efforts in Scotland and developing new business dealing with OEMs and Distribution partners

Responsibilities

• Create and implement sales strategies for both new and existing business in Scotland
• Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities and increase market share
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities
• Provide forecast and performance reports to the UK Sale Manager
• Gain in depth knowledge of the company's product range
• Conduct presentations and training sessions for customers and partners
• Promote new and existing products to enhance brand presence and sales
• Prepare and negotiate sales contracts and agreements
• Close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Work closely with he marketing, technical support and customer service teams to ensure coordinated efforts in achieving sales goals
• Regularly travel to visit customers and attend industry events

Requirements

• Previous Field Sales experience working for a Manufacturer, Distributor or Engineering company
• Experience supporting Manufacturers or Blue Chip companies selling a product or service
• Industry sector experience in some or all would be desirable - Manufacturing, Engineering, Food & Drink, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Renewable, Transport, 
• An excellent relationship builder with a solution led approach
• Proficient in excel, power point, outlook etc..

This is a full time position covering all of Scotland.
