Responsibilities: As an Art and Design Teacher, your role will encompass:
• Lesson Planning: Creating captivating lessons in art and art history that align with students' learning goals.
• Classroom Preparation: Organizing and setting up equipment to create an optimal learning environment.
• Skill Development: Nurturing students' drawing, coloring, and painting techniques, including instruction on various media such as graphite, charcoal, oil, acrylic, and watercolor.
• Art History: Introducing students to the fascinating world of art history.
• Assessment: Assigning and evaluating projects and examinations.
• Progress Tracking: Maintaining records and reporting on students' progress.
• Classroom Maintenance: Ensuring cleanliness after each lesson.
• Resource Management: Managing inventory and procuring art supplies as needed.
• Engagement: Participating in faculty and parent-teacher meetings.
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
• Valid UK teaching qualification: PGCE with QTS (Qualified teacher status) or QTLS.
• NQTs, Overseas Trained Teachers with UK work rights, and experienced Instructors are encouraged to apply.
• Bachelor's degree in fine arts with teaching qualifications or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an Art Teacher.
• Proficiency in various art techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to oversee group activities.
• Strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Supportive and adaptable nature.
• Possession of an Enhanced DBS on the Update service or willingness to obtain one
• A full work history
