This is an ideal job for those who want to begin a career in teaching and who have a passion for drawing and painting. We have been teaching children to draw and paint at our studios for the last 15 years and have developed an effective method which is very rewarding for students and tutors alike.
We train our tutors in our teaching methods, so that all our tutors have the same high standard across the studios. As a Full Time tutor, you will be responsible for teaching children aged 8 to 18 years, managing the classes and maintaining the studios alongside other tutors.
Classes are mostly held after school in the afternoons, during the weekends and school holidays. Our studios are located in Chelsea Wharf (Chelsea SW10) and Ravenscourt Park (Hammersmith W6).
Skills and Experience Required
· Degree in Fine Arts (painting) is preferable.
· Experience in teaching and/or working with children.
· Demonstrable skills in drawing and painting from observation.
· Passion for transferring skills and knowledge to others.
· Candidates should be flexible and willing to learn the teaching methods at the studio.
· Reliability, common sense, good listening skills, patience and a positive, encouraging attitude are essential.
· A strong work ethic, can-do attitude and teamwork are key to the work.
