Key duties:
For the Mulberry Production Arts Academy
- To lead on the planning and delivery of Saturday workshops in accordance with a scheme of learning for students enrolled on the core academy programme.
- To lead on the coordinate and delivery Production Arts workshops as part of the academy's outreach programme to KS2 and KS3 students across the Trust and at our partner schools.
- To supervise students on trips and whilst carrying out other academy activities.
- To be a role model and champion of Production Arts to all students.
For Mulberry School for Girls
Events
- Provide technical support for events that take place in the Mulberry & Bigland Green Centre Theatre, Main Hall and Drama Studio which will include working at height, manual handling, designing and operating lighting, sound and multimedia as well as undertaking practical work in relation to fit ups and strikes.
- Provide technical support for assemblies and graduation events as required by the Year Leaning Coordinators.
- Provide technical support to other areas of the school and other departments as reasonably required including but not limited to drama, dance, music and media.
- Provide technical support to and/or support students working on annual events including Music and Dance showcases, Winter Gathering and Year 9 Project.
- Support the design and construction of sets and the sourcing of props and costumes.
Venue Operations
- Ensure the Mulberry & Bigland Green Centre Theatre is set up and ready for use for lessons, exams or events.
- Ensure all work spaces with in the Mulberry & Bigland Green Centre Theatre including the scene dock and control room are kept clean, tidy and secure.
- Support external users of the space ensuring they have everything they require and operate lighting and/or sound as required.
- As required, working as Duty Technician for events which will include evening and weekend duties as agreed with line manager.
