About us
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Artist Liaison Manager to join our talented and hard-working media, Artist Liaison and strategic communications team.
Location: Based in our London office (Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy)
About the role
As Artist Liaison Manager you will lead and oversee our work with artists and influencers/content creators, building on strong existing relationships and developing new ones to strategically deliver reach, engagement, and impact. This role is critical in identifying and engaging high-profile people (including influencers and content creators) whose support could enhance our work, whether that be political campaigning, fundraising, our commercial and retail offer and building awareness of Crisis’ brand and our year-round services.
You’ll join our newly formed Policy and Social Change directorate which is responsible for shaping and delivering Crisis’ policy, influencing and social change agenda. We give a platform to the voices and experiences of people facing homelessness which is critical in Crisis’ achieving its ambition to end all forms of homelessness. Central to this is reframing the public discourse around homelessness to tackle stereotypes and discrimination.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience of effectively engaging, developing and managing relationships with high-profile supporters, their agents and managers, publicists, creative agencies, and prospective brand partners. Excellent interpersonal, networking, negotiating and relationship building/management skills are essential too, as is the ability to demonstrate tact and confidentiality with high profile relationships.
You will have experience of working collaboratively across strategic communication, fundraising and commercial teams with a good understanding of how to cultivate brand awareness, fundraising tactics, and translating complex policy messages that can be delivered through social media, digital communications, and media relations. An ability to plan, project manage and oversee competing priorities is also essential in this role.
We believe diversity is a strength, and our aim is to make sure that Crisis truly reflects the communities we serve. We are actively working towards our organisation being a place where everyone can thrive and make their best contribution to our mission of ending homelessness for good. We know that the more perspectives, voices, and experiences we can bring to this work, the better. We particularly welcome applications from people who have lived experience of homelessness, and people from all marginalised groups, communities and backgrounds.
