Location:
Zilift (Aberdeen, UK)
Job Summary:
To perform manufacturing and testing activities in accordance with relevant processes and procedures to ensure all Zilift’s products are manufactured to the highest quality and conform with design specifications and standards. This is a permanent full-time, onshore, position at Zilift Ltd as a member of the Production Department. This position reports to the Production Manager
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
· Mechanical assembly and testing of complex Electro-mechanical Zillift product
· Testing of Electrical Assemblies
· Perform QC/QA activities
· Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing
· Comply with the requirements of Stock Control Process
· Ensure all products are preserved after completion of inspection activities
· Responsible for performing regular checks on work equipment
· Ensure good housekeeping within own work area
· Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments
Requirements:
· Vocational qualification in an engineering discipline (ONC, HNC or HND, time served apprenticeship)
· Good Mechanical Technician skills
· Manufacturing environment experience
· Ability to interpret precision Engineering Drawings
· Familiarity with electrical/sensor test equipment and operations
· Practical, enthusiastic, and self-driven to progress and get tasks done
· Ability to prevent and solve problems without prompting
· Shares own knowledge; respected by and can influence peers
· Ability to follow procedures and participate in continuous improvement and able to assist with creation of such procedures
· Capable of reading and interpreting manufacturing engineering specifications
· Quality of workmanship is continuously of a very high standard
· Excellent time keeping
· Ability to work under a minimum of supervision.
· Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word and Excel
