Are you qualified in MRICS, CIOB, Degree or HNC or relevant qualification and/or management experience or equivalent in managing Construction projects in Investment, Repairs and Maintenance?
Are you able to successfully motivate and manage a team of professional and technical staff?
Do you have experience in surveying/inspecting buildings, specification writing, tendering and procurement?

Here at Sutton Housing Partnership(SHP), we have an opportunity for a Major Works Programme Manager on a Permanent at our Sutton Gate office.
A bit about the role:
As a Major Works Programme Manager, you will manage the delivery of planned investment programmes and provide leadership to the team of Capital Works Surveyors/Project Managers/Clerk of Works/Resident Liaison Officers.
To effectively manage partnered and JCT contractors and consultants, procuring additional works contracts and staff resources where necessary. Proactively manage budgets exceeding £5m per annum.
Some of the key results for the role include:
- Managing the contractors and ensuring the delivery of complex investment projects on time, budget and to a high standard of quality, ensuring value for money and excellent service provision. To ensure the Section 20 process is undertaken and completed in full where required.
- Ensuring that procurement and competitively tendered contracts meet agreed contractor selection processes and health and safety standards, and that statutory requirements including the Public Contracts Regulations are adhered to.
- Overseeing and supporting the Major Project Surveyors as required in the development of survey-based specifications and tendering and procurement processes. Supporting the Programme Manager and the consultants to develop programme and delivery forecasts for work programmes. [1]
- Effectively managing relationships with contract partners, consultants and supply chain to ensure contractual, procurement, statutory and regulatory compliance.
Establishing and implementing effective working arrangements & practices to ensure a consistent level of service delivery in line with the Peabody business plan.
This role will require a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the Sutton Gate office is required.
