Assistant Accountant

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a sought-after and well-known business who can offer a clear progression path and the opportunity to gain exposure to the full management accounts process within a large, successful business, not to mention brilliant perks!

Based on the outskirts of Leeds, the business have experienced a lot of change and development over recent years and are currently in the process of implementing a new finance system, so it's a great time to join them whilst they have plenty of new projects on the go.

They experience low turnover, which says a lot about the business as a whole, and they are looking for someone to develop, so whilst experience of accruals, prepayments, journals and balance sheet reconciliations is a must, experience beyond this can be taught.

An example of some of the duties that the successful candidate will be responsible for:-

• Supporting in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
• Producing accruals, prepayments and journals.
• Assisting with cashflow forecasting.
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying and logging fixed assets.
• Assisting with nominal ledger including processing journals and month-end adjustments.
• Performing balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns.
