Assistant Accountant

Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.

Our very busy client based in Doncaster is now looking for a Finance Assistant/Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance Team. You will have experience working in a similar role and be either part qualified or qualified by experience. This is a very busy role where you will get involved in all aspects within finance from posting invoices through to preparation of management accounts to trial stage. This role reports into the Finance Manager who you will be working alongside which will give you the opportunity to learn and gain additional skills and experience and grow within the role.

Skills required

• It is essential you have experience using Excel and Sage 50

• Be able to prepare Management Accounts to trial stage

• Be able to work to deadlines for submission to the Group Finance Team

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record keeping

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch

Job Description

• Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.

• Managing monthly budgeting tasks.

• Encoding accounting entries for data processing.

• Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts.

• Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and meticulously tracing errors back to their source.

• Preparing Management Accounts to trial stage

• Assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable

• There may also be involvement with payroll

• Assisting with any other general tasks.

Salary: £30-32k dep. on exp.
