Assistant Accountant

Our client is a well-known accountancy firm in a prime location in Suffolk,  providing clients both UK and globally with a wide range of services.   They take pride in having created an environment that people enjoy working in and possess strong communication both internally and externally.

We are working with the firm to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant, to support the senior management team who will mentor and develop you.

Tasks will include:

• Preparation of year-end accounts and VAT returns from client books and records
• Bookkeeping for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Drafting self-assessment and corporate tax returns for review
• Providing support to clients with their bookkeeping
• As a key client liaison, communicate and representing the firm in a courteous, professional, and reassuring manner

To be considered you will:

Have completed AAT Level 3 or above

Can demonstrate experience working with clients in an accountancy practice

Experienced with a range of systems ie Xero, Quickbooks etc.
