Assistant Accountant

Salary: circa £30k dependent on experience + holidays + life assurance + cashplan + hybrid working

My client is an award-winning, UK & international leading business. Rapidly growing across the UK and Europe, this is a great opportunity to join a fantastic finance team in their busy Wigan office.

Role:

• Assisting with producing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide manufacturing KPIs for the business as required by the management team
• Maintain accurate stock records, producing flash forecasts
• Payment runs and dealing with enquiries for Sales ledger, Purchase ledger and Stock
• Monthly VAT returns/EC Sales/Intrastat
• Assist with Budgets and forecasts alongside the Finance Manager and Management Accountant
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of currency forecasting
• Regular bank reconciliations, Monthly management of corporate credit cards and expenses
• Manage customer information on the system, including adding suppliers, checking bank details, raising credit notes
• Supervising trainee Finance Assistants daily

Experience:

• AAT L3 ideally with good experience in finance
• Good communicator and strong excel and systems skills
• Inquisitive, keen to learn and always willing to help
• Strong attention to detail, first class organisational skills
