French Speaking Accounts Payable Assistant

Location: Blackburn (Permanent)

Salary: Up to GBP25,000 plus 5% bonus

I am currently partnered with a global organisation that is a market leader within their field. To support the continued growth of the business, they are recruiting for a French-speaking Accounts Payable Assistant to join their dynamic finance team. This role involves managing Accounts Payable processes for French-speaking clients, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the end-to-end payment process and investigate any discrepancies.
• Import daily payment processing reports onto SAP.
• Communicate and document discrepancy and forgery reports.
• Process supplier invoices and credit notes, and allocate payments to supplier accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of cash and card General Ledgers (GLs), writing off within a certain threshold and investigating items outside that threshold.
• Post ad hoc journals as needed.
• Monitor, escalate, and resolve issues with missing payments.
• Upload fuel and shop expenses and investigate any variances.
• Escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Conduct expense reconciliations.
• Handle general administration and other ad-hoc duties as required.

Candidate Profile:

• Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines.
