Leading global independent retail operator based in the North West with operations at over 5,600 sites across Continental Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia is looking for a French speaking Senior Finance Manager. This is a permanent role within the accounting and finance team, and the Finance Manager will report to the Financial Controller.

Our client would consider candidates who wish to have some WFH days, max 2.

ROLE of Senior Finance Manager:

• Taking ownership of all finance aspects of the category: costs, overheads, fixed assets, revenue
• Preparing monthly management accounts and providing first input into monthly management accounts
• Presentating of monthly numbers and providing senior management with concise and clear updates and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner
• Supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring strong month end controls and adhering to deadlines to support wider group reporting requirements
• Supporting the understanding and investigation of variance analysis relating to actuals vs budgets and forecasts and working closely with the commercial team
• Developing strong cross functional partnerships with across various departments (Fuel, Merchandising, Operations and Maintenance, Payroll, HR etc)
• Other adhoc projects and tasks as required

PROFILE:

• Fluent French and English with strong communication skills
• Previous experience in a similar role, as a Senior Accountant or a Junior Finance Manager or a Finance manager
• Retail experience.
• CIMA/ACCA qualified or similar
• Experience of IFRS standards
• Strong analytical and Excel
• SAP experience would be an asset

SALARY

• £60 to £70k negotiable and according to skills and experience plus bonus
